Default electronic voting machines....

....If you deal with a ATM you get a printout of the transaction that can cya if there's a problem.

If you vote electronically you get zilch and in my case, living in Illinois, I have to depend on the Chicago mob giving me a fair deal when I vote.

Needless to say, I don't trust them and rather than have them deprive me of my legitimate vote, I have decided not to vote at all. Maybe if a few million of us did the same they may get the message we have had a gut full of them.

Default I Think.....

Anymore, elections seem to be more like a sports game. All about winning rather than about doing the right thing.

Just ask "Chad".
Down there in Florida.
Retired now I think.

But, as for security with electronic voting, what could go wrong? Should be JUST as tamper-proof as a Windows system is now.
Ya reckon?

Or, is that a Trojan Horse of another color?
Just get a flu shot and don't worry about the virus.

Hack, Hack.
and
LoL.

Default Voting

The problem isn't the means to vote. It's people too stupid to vote no matter the means (punch card, scanner, electronic). And I see no problem with a requirement to show a picture ID based on an appropriate document related to being a citizen, either naturalized or native. BOL

Default Agreed sealord....

....Whatever system is fallable (dead people vote) but a "paper trail" may be more honest than the easily hacked electronic voting machines.

Good point fozzy but a paper ballot is a receipt of a sort that someone voted .

Default You do get a paper receipt..

there can be no mention on the paper of HOW you voted.. this is what the lefties seem to be whining about.

This is going to be interesting when the dems do win more seats and they then break their necks trying to change direction and accept these machines that they demanded in the first place.

Default Millions not voting

Millions of people have already stopped voting. Its not working.

Vote for the people who will do the least amount of damage for now, and hold them accountable for the way they represent you.

Over time, it would start to sink in.

The trouble is, Americans have short attention spans. They rock the boat for a short period of time, then get on with their lives.

Case in point: The port deal. People went crazy when they found out that the Arabs were going to control our ports. The UAE promised to surrender the contract within 6 months. Well...its 6 months later. Google to see whos in control of our ports. Americans have already forgotten, though.
