How about leaving your email address for starters. Have you not noticed the WIDE variety of responses you get on here, every one trying to out do the other??????
Keep it one on one if you want info and make your own mind up...... in the mean time, I suggest you get back to that Opening Our Own Company question AFTER your husband gets "experienced" on a FULL time basis!

The most important thing is to have shipper support. You must have a reliable customer base that will give you consistent freight. You may have to broker your way back home.

You must have the resources to live without a paycheck for 90 days or longer until your customers pay their bills, if they decide to pay. In the meantime your myriad of expenses goes on.

You can hire a processing company to do your legalization, fuel tax reporting and insurance. Not to mention filing for your authority. You can search ads here on the net or the trade publications for a good processing agent.

Unless you are EXTREMELY well fixed financially and have EXTENSIVE experience as an Owner-Operator (You said your husband trucks parttime?) do not attempt this risky venture.

And thats the bottom line 'cause Big Joe said so.

I do not have an e-mail however I will keep checking in as often as possible from college. My husband was a full time driver for over a year and I spent five months of my pregnacy with our twins out there he is a very good driver and his brother has recently started out on the road full time they both would rather driver for themselves rather than make money for someone else. I plan to take the classes for the business managent end of this. Thanks for your reply.
