Default re: sysco foods,,,

I ran for shuttles for Sysco Foods for
a couple of years when we lived near
Albuquerque, N.M.
I had no complaints.
Nobel Sysco was the specific name for
that branch of the company.
At the time, we lived way up in Taos
near the Colorado border.
I would shuttle down a set of doubles
to Albuquerque w/returns and bring up
another set for the city guys to deliver
in/around the Taos area.

I repeated the same circuit the next night.
I ran 5 nights a week and I was off
on Tuesdays and Sundays.
I also had a short delivery run one day
a week in addition to my regular
shuttle runs.
I loved it except when it snowed hard.
And north of Albuquerque it snows hard.
And doubles can be tricky in a snowstorm.

They were a good outfit to work for
and treated their drivers fairly.
They were a union shop and the wages
were more than competive with BC/BS
health insurance, vacation, disability,
and all that good stuff.

If family necessity hadn't required
us to move out of the area I might
still be there today, who knows.
All in all, I would say Sysco is a
good outfit to work for.
You can do local city work, run their
nighttime shuttles, or run regionally
within a general tri-state area of
your location.
Hope that helps.

Happy Holidays,
