Exclamation Companies and DAC reports

Do you feel that it is ok for companies to put whatever they want on our DAC and not have to explain it??? They shouldn't be able to put any negative or false info without an explanation!!!! That info can ruin us drivers! I think we should stand together and have that changed. Do you?? email me @ marilynbean55@yahoo.com if you think its wrong.

Do you feel that it is ok for companies to put whatever they want on our DAC and not have to explain it? Yes. "negative or false info" Negative or false info can be rebutted same as credit info because DAC/USIS is governed by the same Fair Credit Reporting Act as the credit reporting bureaus. If the company making the negative or false info report doesn't respond to a query by DAC/USIS, DAC/USIS deletes the bad info, BOL

also you as a a driver are protected by law against companies that insist on putting false info on your dac.
if its false and you can prove it you can take them to court , a judge will order them to stop reporting the false information, and possibly award monetary damages if your seeking them in the law suit. a company bullying you as a driver by reporting false information on your DAC is a form of harassment .

Sorry, Ms Bean but I agree with Sealord. From your previous post, you've had almost two months to contest the information on your hubby's DAC and apparently you haven't done it. That hints to me that:

- You didn't take the time to do it, or...

- The information was correct and you had no rebuttal.

Go here and try again.

There is no doubt in my mind that occasionally a company will put inaccurate info in a DAC report, but I'm betting that in the overwhelming majority of cases, the driver was at fault, won't admit it and doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Out of curiosity, what kind of false/negative info did they put on the DAC?

There is actually a petition webpage that I came across recently from a site/publication called "the Truth about Trucking"
and it is about false Dac that might be of interest to you.

"Stop False Dac Reporting"

That guy is trying to peddle books and knows that the chance of Congress acting on DAC reform -- for a group of people that rarely vote and contribute nothing to campaigns -- is about the same as my chances of hitting the power ball. With the serious problems facing this nation, I don't even want my elected officials wasting a nanosecond on such foolishness.

But he flat doesn't understand how government works. Unless someone can clearly show Congress that companies **intentionally** put bad stuff in the DAC and that it is a serious problem, we have nothing more than CB rumors and a bunch of whiny drivers who have screwed up and won't admit. Gee, what else is new?

The books he's peddling are also a hoot and titled exactly the same as another trucking book written by another trucking author (see Amazon). Trucking is not rocket science and the people who might benefit from the books (???) are not the sort of people with reading comprehension skills. Those with the skills don't need the book. Is every driver on the planet writing a book?

BTW, if petition guy had the answers, he'd be with a union outfit now and retiring in less than five years. He's not...
