No. Read the other posts and search the archives for felonies. There are several felons here looking for work and not a one have reported back as having been successful.
Do the crime...you do the time. People need to think about the consequences before they break the law.
Don't worry..there are still opportunities in fast food and construction.

When people meet for the first time a certain amount of judging, or sizing-up takes place. That's human nature.
When the person who does the hiring for trucking companies first meets a potential employee, they do the same thing, --- probably more so than folks just hanging out together.
Mostly they wonder what kind of a person you are and if you'd fit in. I don't know how anyone can judge someone else based on their future, so all that's left is the present and the past. Because the past can be a good indicator of what kind of person they are presently, and even a pretty good indicator as to their future, a lot of attention is paid to the past.
Statistics tell us that a high percentage of inmates will return to prison after serving their sentence, which causes a potential employer to wonder if you'll be one who returns to prison. They REALLY wonder if the applicant served time for any type of theft. The trucking companies avoid those convicted of theft. They're concerned what might happen if they were dispatched to pick up a load of high-dollar electronics, designer clothing or cigarettes. Loads like that can be worth a million dollars or more. Loads like that might even tempt an honest person to hi-jack their own load. Companies aren't willing to take a chance of that happening. Likewise, neither does their insurance carrier.
That's why it's so very important to stay out of trouble. Once trouble goes on a person's record, it follows them everywhere they go from then on.
But WAIT, I hear y'all saying.
I did my time for the crime. Now I should be treated just like everyone else, --- as though I was never convicted.
That would be nice, .......... but it'll never happen.
Our past defines us and who we are today in the eyes of others. Especially those folks who've never been in trouble with the law.
Are there trucking companies that will hire felons?
Yes.
Are they good companies to work for?
No.
They know you don't have many, if any, choices that will hire felons, so they don't worry about keeping you happy.
Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but it's going go be a rough, up-hill journey from here on out. Can this be overcome?
Yes.
But not everyone is capable of making the grade successfully.
That's probably why so many inmates return to prison.
Ya reckon.

Re: Just Want A Chance
I think I see an opportunity! I am going to start a website specializing in FELONS trying to get a job. Seems like there is a huge demand for it.
Everybody wants "another" chance. The way I figure it is you already had your chance in life, and you chose the wrong path.
Why is it the fault of good drivers and reputable companies when we refuse to overlook that you are a low life criminal that is a strain on society?
Please stop coming on here and begging for forgiveness....I for one have no sympathy for you and I also don't care to share the road with you.

Looks to me like you're the only one begging, and I don't think that's the only thing you're not being honest about. I think you and some others on this forum get your rocks putting a beatdown on people you judge to be low-lifes. If they didn't “come on here” you wouldn't have as many opportunities.

I do have sympathy for them. I've not (yet) had the misfortune to be prosecuted for any crimes, but that doesn't mean I haven't done a few. I guess I'm just one of the lucky low-lifes.

I would prefer to share the road, this forum, and life itself with imperfect people who are trying to improve - rather than saggy-skinned, self-righteous truck driver/preachers who think they are the arbiters of all things wrong and right. But hell, that's just one low-life's opinion.

At what point do you think I am begging? What?
I am not begging for anything other than for the low-life's to keep away from me.

That's right! I haven't sinned so I don't need to ask for forgiveness. I have lived a clean life with no regrets! Therefore I have no sympathy for those who haven't. Sure, it's not easy to go through life without sinning or having to ask for forgiveness, but for those who have like me should be able to reap the rewards for being such a good person.
