does anyone know of any trucking companies that will hire someone that lives in north west florida/lower alabama??? i am haveing a real hard time finding one that will. would prefer a company with bennifits, but i can do without that if needed. any help is appreciated. i am not neccessarily looking for southeast regional, but it would b nice.

Ads on careerbuilder for Pensacola FL yeilded 125 jobs in that area.
All I do when searching is put CDL in the keyword text box

Try Alabama Motor Express. Their number is 1-800-633-7590. They are out of Dothan AL. They are all dry van aand I've been with them for nearly 8 years now. They have Volvos and a few dinosaur KW's. I'm getting fairly decent miles with them too....

I'm not that suprised that your having difficulty getting a job in Florida.There isn't much freight coming out of there.

There are a few food grade carriers based in Florida though.Indian River Transport ,Bynum and another one I can't think of.

A while back, I was speaking with the freindly recruiters at Indian River Transport.I was less than impressed to say the least.The pay wasn't all that and the hometime policy s ucked.One day home for 6 out,and no more than 2 days at the house.No thanks.

But who knows? They may work for you..
