Default Speed Limiters

It looks like that in Ontario speed limiters are unconstitutional. Courts in Ontario have ruled against the law requiring speed limiters. They said it will be appealed but I wonder if it is going to stick.

The judge said this ...“Inability to accelerate or not accelerate fully places a driver in a less than safe situation because we have taken some of the tools required to drive properly away from the driver,” the justice of the peace stated. “If the goal of this legislation was to increase safety it cannot be done in this fashion.”

Default Re: Speed Limiters

Finally!
SOMEone understands reality.
And a judge no less.
That's gotta carry some weight.
Let's hope this will open the right eyes and they'll
recognize how absurd the lawmakers claim of increased safety is.
Running up against the governor is a dangerous practice when drivin'
a Big truck. Only a desk driver would think differently. If it's safety
they want, --- those desk drivers should be mandated to utilized seat
belts and brain buckets, more for the look of bein' safe than any actual
safety advantage. Bein' forced to keep a log book to limit the amount
of hours worked would be another mandatory safety practice that could
help desk drivers as much as it does for real Big truck truck drivers.

And while we're on the subject of pseudo safety, it might be prudent
to restrict the use of office heat and air conditioning to only those
days when high temperatures rise above 140 degrees, but only for a
few minutes, and days with a low temperature of -60 degrees, ----
again, for only a few minutes time total. Implement those desk driver
improvements and insist complete cooperation by them. Then twist
the facts so as to make it appear as though accidents have been
drastically reduced due to excessive powah control.

Desk drivers provide the smoke to complement the mirrors.
