My name is Qiuan and I am a 32 year old male who is trying to get into truck driving. I graduated from a CDL school in November 2008; since then I have been applying and applying for truck driving jobe to no avail. I've had a recruiter tell me they were going to bring me out for training, but never call back. I had an owner hire me, take the DOT physical and drug screen (passed both) then not return my calls. Not to mention all the no's I've been hearing for not having any experience. How can I get experience if no one will hire me?
Bottom line, I am just trying to find a way to get into a truck. Can someone tell me what other avenues I can take to get hired and start working. If someone out there is looking for a team driver I am willing. If an employer is reading and hiring, I am willing to work...hard. Please contact me at qiuany@hotmail.com or reply to this thread with your contact info. Thanks in advance. |

Did you try Swift Transportation, Gordon Trucking out of Sumner, WA or Interstate. All these companies have training. Even JB Hunt. My suggestion is go with the big companies. Most of them you can sign up online.
Be prepared to stay out for a least 3 weeks to 1 1/2 months at a time and go to some places you would prob. never go to take your family. Sangers4u2.. |
