Hi, I'm Scott. White male, Age 40, yankee born, residing in NC.
I am HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY with a boatload of references. I have ALL RECENT DOCUMENTATION to PROVE my good driving record, DOT medical card and background check. I am presently attending RoadMaster CDL School in Dunn, NC. Scheduled to graduate late November 09. Still need some work on my backing, but doing extremely well with my road training. Just moved down here from CT, soon to have my NC issued CDL. Job placement dept at school is running out of options for my pre-hire (only 1 offer out of 10 carriers so far), due to my large gaps in employment for last 2 years. IF the job market for an engineering tech were so great, I might not even be in CDL School, so WHY do most large carriers REQUIRE a solid (recent) work history? Can't UNEMPLOYED people become truckers too?!! Last 2 years, I’ve done a lot of part-time odd jobs just to make ends meet….such as working for a buddy at his automotive business, working for my brother in his I.T. business; as well as eBay selling. Most major trucking firms refuse to hire me, because I’ve had no formal “W-2” jobs in the last 2 years. Don't unemployed folks deserve a chance at a trucking career? I'm willing to work very hard and keep the wheels turning in any 48 state OTR position. NO HAZMAT OR TANKER YET, but willing to get them if the job requires. If you are an owner operator who is willing to work with a very fast learner who is also multi-talented in the realms of electrical/mechanical/electronics/computers, please contact me. If you feel that we could possibly be a match, I can PM you with my full contact info (cell#, email, etc). I'll answer and prove any questions you put to me....honestly and without hesitation. Please drive safely…..Scott Last edited by scoteeboy : 11-20-2009 at 06:06 PM. |
