Household goods movers transport furnishings and other items for families, offices and collections. A driver has to take detailed inventory of the shipment, and may be required to help box and pack. To load the trailer safely and utilize every space, decks and tiers may have to be built as well as pads and straps used to secure items. Drivers need to be able to lift and carry heavy items, have good customer service skills and be computer literate.
