St. Cloud, MN - Anderson Trucking Service, Inc. (ATS). of St. Cloud, Minnesota, announced today its purchase of the assets of Waylon Transport, Ltd of Devon, Alberta, Canada, which is located near Edmonton, the Capital of Alberta.
According to Brent Anderson, Vice President of Heavy Haul and Wind Energy Services at ATS, "We are excited about the service possibilities for our customers that can be provided by the combined efforts of Waylon and ATS, and are pleased to welcome Waylon to the Anderson Family of Companies."
Waylon was founded in 1982 as an Intra-Provincial carrier in the Province of Alberta. Its proximity to roadways, railroad yards and the Edmonton International Airport provides easy access for loading and unloading both imports and exports. This geographic advantage coupled with its passion for superior service has given Waylon a reputation as an expert in handling both international and domestic distribution needs as well as transportation of Alberta oil field equipment and supplies. Currently Waylon operates 22 trucks and 40 open trailers along with an extensive freight brokerage.
