(Fort Dodge, Iowa) - Decker Truck Line was recently presented a Marine Corps paddle in recognition for their generous and quick support for the Des Moines Toys for Tots Campaign.
When Toys for Tots Coordinator First Sergeant Brandon Eckardt was given two-week notice that their occupied space had been leased to someone else, Decker stepped in and provided a tractor trailer and a truck driver to quickly move the entire toy inventory to a new warehouse location in just two days.
On September 26th, First Sergeant Eckardt presented the leadership of Decker Truck Line with a decorated paddle made by the Marines of the Inspector-Instructor Staff.
Paddles like this are given occasionally to Marines and organizations that are deemed worthy of such a recognition as a testament to their commitment and contributions to the Marine Corps. Decker Truck Line Inc. is proud to have received such recognition and the Decker family continues to be a loyal supporter of the Marine Corps.
A $1,000 donation was also given to the Toys for Tots Campaign in Memory of Dale Decker, Sr., 2nd World War Marine Corp Veteran.
