KIRKLAND, Wash., The new Kenworth Clean Power(TM) Calculator can help fleets and owner-operators quickly estimate the potential cost savings with the no-idle Kenworth Clean Power system.
Available on Kenworth's Web site (www.kenworth.com), the calculator shows the difference between Kenworth Clean Power and idling the truck's engine to provide normal hotel loads, including heating, cooling and 120-volt AC power.
Simply fill in the truck's annual fuel use, fuel cost per gallon, annual non-working idling hours (defined as truck and driver at rest), and estimated percentage of the year spent idling for driver comfort to calculate the annual percentage and dollar savings*.
