(Springfield, Mo.) - Being named Carrier of the Year by one blue chip customer is quite an accomplishment but Prime inc. has tripled that achievement in 2009 by being named Carrier of the Year by three different customers.
ConAgra Foods, Kraft Foods, and General Mills have each given the honor to Prime based on individual company criteria. "Each of these customers has their own measuring system based upon on-time pick-ups and deliveries, overall service and number of claims among other factors," says Steve Wutke, Prime vice president of sales. "This recognition is very meaningful to us. We're very proud of our operators, fleet managers, customer service staff - everyone. This was very much a team effort."
This marks the second year Prime inc. has received this honor from Kraft as well as several other prestigious service awards from other customers, but Wutke says this is the first year Prime has achieved a "triple crown."
"These awards just add even more to our credibility," he says. "It is a testament to how very seriously we take customer service."
