GREEN BAY, Wis. – It’s hard to beat the view from the driver’s seat of a Schneider truck or a NASCAR race car. To celebrate driving and the career opportunities at the Big Orange, Schneider National held its second annual Drive to ’Dega Facebook sweepstakes and recently awarded the six grand prizes from the thousands who entered from across North America.
The six grand prize winners will travel to Talladega, Ala., to cheer on NASCAR’s best in both the Sprint Cup and Camping World Truck Series races October 6–7. Box seats and pre-race stage passes are provided for each winner and a guest during the weekend along with $1,000 to cover travel expenses.
“We’re thrilled to give the six grand prize winners a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the thrill of NASCAR racing,” explained Mike Hinz, vice president of Schneider National. “Schneider National is always looking for exciting ways to spotlight rewarding driving careers.”
The Drive to ’Dega winners are James Turner from San Francisco, Calif., Nancy Weitzel of Fort Collins, Colo., Roland Moustache from Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, Tricia Baggott from Malvern, Ohio, CL Chin from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Ronald Pray from Victoria, Texas.
“I’m a huge race fan, so when I learned about the sweepstakes from a Schneider driver, I knew I had to enter,” said winner Ronald Pray. “My 11-year-old son and I can’t wait to hear the roar of the engines on NASCAR’s biggest track.”
Moving over 10,600 loads daily, Schneider National has immediate openings for solo and team professional drivers, driving school graduates and owner-operators. Opportunities exist in Schneider’s Regional, Over the Road, Dedicated, Intermodal, Tanker, Expedited, Oil Field Transportation and Port Dray lines of business.
