In celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Wreaths Across America (WAA) -- a national non-profit whose mission is to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those who serve and their families, and TEACH children the value of freedom -- would like to say 'Thank You' to all the truck drivers and trucking companies that make what they do possible.

According to Karen Worcester, executive director of WAA, "Transportation services are absolutely critical to successfully execute an event of this size and scope.Through the trucking communities' donation of time, trucks and wreaths, professional truck drivers are helping to make our mission a reality. Their generosity is indicative of what we’re seeing nationwide — individuals coming together to ensure our veterans are not forgotten. We thank the drivers for their commitment to our cause and to the servicemen and women who gave everything for this country."

In 2012, The Wreaths Across America National Museum (located in Columbia Falls, Maine) unveiled a new exhibit honoring the truck drivers and trucking companies that have donated their time, services and expertise to the national non-profit over the last 20 years. Photos available upon request.

The organization began the tradition of placing wreaths on the headstones of our Nation's fallen heroes at Arlington National Cemetery during the holidays in 1992 and this Dec. 15 hopes to place 500,000 wreaths nationwide and overseas, including 250,000 at Arlington.
