In an agreement that promises to bring new services to the transportation industry, John Ewing, CEO of The Truckers Helper and Bruce Martin, CEO of Layover.com today announced that they have agreed to form a partnership bringing the strengths of both companies to bear on developing new and innovative services for the industry.  Both companies are proven leaders in their respective segments of the industry and by joining forces they bring the leading business management tools and the leading online service provider together under one roof.

Since it's inception in 1996 The Truckers Helper has been providing owner/operators, company drivers and small fleets with business management tools to fit their individual needs. Originally developed from their own needs as owner/operators themselves, John & Sheila Ewing developed the initial owner/operator version which grew as their users fleets grew into a complete business management system for small fleets. Now with over 30,000 users The Truckers Helper is the leading provider of business management software for the trucking industry.

Layover.com has been providing online services to owner/operators, drivers, trucking families, and employers since 1996 and has steadily expanded its offerings and affiliations in recent months.  In addition to online services that include driver education, family connections, employment opportunities, entertainment features and much more, Layover.com offers instant access to several other affiliate websites.

According to John Ewing, "Bruce and I are both excited about the possibilities that this merger offers our companies and we're looking forward to rolling out several new services in the near future."

"Watch our sites, www.layover.com and www.truckershelper.com for upcoming announcements on new services as they become available." added Bruce Martin.
